Native Americans used Aloe Vera on their hair
Indian country today media network report that Native Americans used Aloe Vera as natural moisturiser for the hair. Aloe Vera was used in everyday life by the Native Americans as the properties of the gel were protective of the sun and other harsh weather. They also ate it due to it's health benefits.
